Dorbe Holden's Buddha Nature workshop gave me an unusual opportunity to see myself as others see me   
(recalling the Robert Burns poem). Once my "essence" was established in a way that was both unexpected and loving, Dorbe instructed workshop participants to paint and embellish a statue of any size, shape, and spiritual/religious orientation to reflect her essence.

In the safety of a playful and sacred environment, Dorbe encouraged us with reminders that art is subjective, right and wrong do not exist, and fun is the order of the day. With her tools for transformation, not only do I have a beautiful statue that reflects my inner and outer light, I have a reminder that there is nobility in beginning any process, and that detachment from outcome always yields surprising results.

Working with Dorbe and her compassionate, beautiful, professional, and loving essence helped me see others as an extension of myself while maintaining an individual but very much connected personality.  Dorbe's workshop teaching has given me tools to keep that enlightened perspective in the midst mundane life. Her work is simple but profound on many levels.  Not only will I treasure my new statue, but I will treasure myself. Thank you, Dorbe!
